Turn Around Don't Drown

Turn Around Don’t Drown® (U.S. National Weather Service (NWS): Our Pennsylvania office experienced the tail end of Tropical Storm Debby overnight into today: 4-6 inches of heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Power outages stand at approximately 2,100 customers surrounding the Harrisburg area, with trees down across roadways, accompanied by minor and major flooding.

CDC note that over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water; many of these drownings are preventable. Do not underestimate the force and power of water.
