Kenton Esbenshade joined the American Track team in August of 2024 in the role of Director of Operations, West Region. Kenton comes to us with over 12 years of experience in the railroad industry, most recently having served as AVP of Engineering for Genesee & Wyoming’s Pacific Division in Phoenix, Arizona. In that role, Kenton oversaw Maintenance of Way activities and signals in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Oregon – including capital planning, grants, compliance, training, and new construction planning. In addition to his time with Genesee & Wyoming, Kenton began his career at CSX, where he served as a Management Trainee, Assistant Roadmaster, Roadmaster, and Roadmaster II in the Great Lakes Division. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Youngstown State University.
