John McBride joined American Track in November 2024, bringing with him over five decades of experience in the railroad industry. He began his career in September 1971 as a laborer for Illinois Central Railroad, where he worked until October 1996. Over the course of his tenure at Illinois Central, John held a variety of positions, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in all facets of railroad operations. His roles included machine operator, section foreman, track inspector, and general foreman. Through these positions, John developed a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day challenges and intricacies of the rail industry, honing his skills in leadership, safety protocols, and efficient operations.

In November 1996, John made the transition to the railroad contracting industry, where he expanded his skill set and took on greater responsibilities. During this time, he served in several leadership positions, including superintendent, operations manager, general manager, and part-owner of two construction companies. These roles allowed John to gain a deep understanding of the business side of the industry, as well as the technical aspects of railroad construction and maintenance. His experience managing large-scale projects, overseeing teams, and working closely with clients has equipped him with the tools to navigate complex challenges and deliver results.

Throughout his career, John has always been committed to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
